Our Philosophy

We believe that coffee and tea should taste great, but we also want to feel great about the ingredients that were used to make it.

That’s why our coffees and teas come from Taylor Maid Farms, which is committed to using only the finest fresh and organic ingredients in their fair trade products.

Upcoming Events

FEBRUARY 10, 2012 from 6:00-9:00pm

February’s Second Friday is packed full of all types of creative characters. Here’s the all-star lineup we have planned: 6-6:45pm – Nick Margiotta, 7-7:45pm – Earl and Raine, 8-8:45pm – Brian Medlin. We look forward to seeing you at Main Street Java from 6:00-9:00pm for a night of foot-stomping, guitar-strumming, coffee-guzzling fun.

NEW MUSIC FORMAT!

EVERY SECOND FRIDAY

For the past several years, Main Street Java has hosted live music every Friday night from 7-9pm, giving Souderton a glimpse of some of the local talent our town possesses. Starting January 2012, Main Street Java is combining four separate nights of music into one exciting Friday night event called SECOND FRIDAY, featuring 2 or 3 different local artists in one night! We will be extending the music an extra hour, by beginning at 6pm. So, plan on coming down to Main Street Java every second Friday of each month to hear what new local artists we’ve booked to provide a fun soundtrack to your evening! And the other three Friday nights of the month, come visit us for a great dinner and a relaxing atmosphere, but make a note that we will be closing at 8pm those Fridays – open till 9pm ONLY on the Second Friday. Thanks so much for all your support, and we look forward to seeing you during our new Friday night schedule!

What is Fair Trade?

Fair Trade helps family farmers in developing countries to gain direct access to international markets, as well as to develop the business capacity necessary to compete in the global marketplace. By learning how to market their own harvests, Fair Trade farmers are able to bootstrap their own businesses and receive a fair price for their products. This leads to higher family living standards and thriving communities. Fair Trade empowers farming families to take care of themselves–without developing dependency on foreign aid.

We serve Taylor Maid Farms coffees and teas because they source the finest quality certified organic, fair trade and shade-grown coffee grown by small family farms from around the world. As a result, we can offer natural flavor perfection AND can positively affect the small coffee and tea growing communities around the world– right here from Main Street.
